The hiking parking lot at Kreuzstein in Höchenschwand is the perfect starting point for various hiking routes, including the Felsenweg (red diamond), Heilkima-Wanderwege 4 and 5, as well as the informative forest educational trail.

Bad Säckingen


Bad Säckingen is situated along the High Rhine, which forms the border with Switzerland in this area. The city is located at the southern edge of the Hotzenwald, which is the southern extension of the Black Forest. The city also includes a portion of the Fridolin Island in the Rhine, the territorial ownership of which was long unclear. In 2013, a new state treaty determined that it should belong to Germany in the future.

Wadshut Tiengen

Waldshut-Tiengen, a charming twin city in the southwestern part of Baden-Württemberg, stretches along the Swiss border. As the district capital and the largest city in the Waldshut district, it also serves as a central hub for the surrounding communities.

Marienkapelle in Höchenschwand

The Marienkapelle was constructed in 1966 at one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Höchenschwand. From the chapel, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Hotzenwald, the Feldberg area, and the Swiss mountains.
